I helped make a chair arm this morning.  It was fun.

Girls afternoon at the Elms

I had alot of fun scooting around the gardens at the Elms with my friends ..........It was the most beautiful day not a cloud in the sky. 

Hard worker

Walk to the race course

I went for a nice windy walk to the race course with Casey Rose........check out my Crimson beanie. Looking very cute.

Fashionable but safe.

In woodwork I was busy sanding a piece of wood to get all the rough pieces off. My friend Paul was using an electric sander so I was being safe and wearing ear muffs. Even though I was wearing safety gear , I still looked gorgeous by wearing my spotty sun hat and lovely smile. 

Window shopping

Had fun doing some window shopping at Kmart, what girl doesn't love looking at clothes ❣❣❣❣❣❣👧🏼👩🏼👸🏼🙋🏼

Pottery

Look at me rolling the coils !! My friend Moeata and I did a great job on our big wobbly pot.

Chalk boards

In arts and crafts we painted wooden hearts with really cool chalk board paints. We then glued on buttons and also painted around the outside of the other, . They turned out really nice, I can't wait to see them for sale in the gallery. 

Visit to Wilrose

Last week myself and some friends went to check out the Wilrose centre around the corner, it was really cool seeing the other centre and meeting some of the other clients there, they had a really cool sensory garden that I would like to go back and see in summer 

Sensory

Had a great session in sensory, loved seeing the effect of the special blue light we have in there, so pretty

Paper lanterns

I had a lot of fun cutting shapes out of tissue and gluing them onto the paper lanterns we made at the lantern making workshop. I made really pretty patterns. Boy am I clever! 

Painting wood

I had fun in mixed media art today painting a wood panel with pink paint, I then used stencils to sponge paint my name onto the wood. I'm going to make a sign for my room. Cool aye! 

Van washing

Every Wednesday I help wash the centres vans, I never miss a spot and I'm so helpful 

Pottery

Look at me and my collection of pottery.

I painted my dish and pinch pot orange and green,then I helped to glaze them....soon they will shine like the little blue dish that I am taking home for Mum today.

My seashells are ready to colour too.......I have been so busy making pots and having fun !!

Pro cook

If you ever feel like corn fritters, I hope you call me to help you make them because they were so yummy if I do say so myself ...

Jewellery making

In my girls group we got crafty and made our own jewellery. I made a necklace that I loved so much, I put on straight away! Hope you like it as much as I do

SPCA visit

Had lots of fun going for my first ever visit to the SPCA, I loved the kittens and the birds 

Lantern making with the ladies

Had fun learning how to make a lantern, at the Greerton town hall , I enjoyed being creative and spending time with the girls 

Fire fighters

Met the men ho fight fires! Got to see the truck and have a tour had so much fun 

Helping around the centre

We had a loose shelf in the music room and I helped along with my other friends in renovation to fix it by screwing a new bracket under the shelf. We did an awesome job! 

Clay shells

I worked really hard in pottery pressing clay into seashell mounds, we used glad wrap to cover the mounds so the shells were easy to pull out. The looked really cool! 

Making shelves

I had a lot of fun sanding and sawing a lovely big plank of wood that we are making into a shelf for the centre. After the wood is smooth we will paint it. I can't wait to see it finished! 

Girls group fun

I got so pampered today in girls group , had a nice hand massage and a bit of make up done. Man it's hard work being a girl!

Let's get cooking!

This afternoon I learnt how to make Baked Beans from scratch, yes that's right, from scratch! we made the sauce and everything, they smelt so good and it was really interesting.

Sparkly nails

I had a lovely manicure in girls group. I chose a really cool apricot colour and we added a top coat of sparkles. I was really good at shaking my hands to dry them quickly. They looked so pretty! 

Piano fun

Today I saw my friend Nigel playing piano and decided to drive over to him and play beside him, we played some really pretty music together, we played for our friends too. I'm showing everyone how talented I am!! 

Cooking time

Here I am mixing the egg up for our French toast we were making and I tried a piece and it was really yummy and I get to take some home with me.

Looking fancy

I had my hair brushed and styled in girls group today and I decided to get plaited pigtails!! I wanted pink hair ties. I looked in the mirror and thought I looked really nice. How gorgeous! 

Making apple crumble.

Last Wednesday I joined a cooking session and helped to make yummy apple crumble. I used a cool machine that cored the apple and peeled it, I loved turning the handle and watching the spirals of Apple fall down. I took some apple crumble home to have as desert, how awesome was that! 

Welcome to Arohanui Kimberley!

Hi, I am Kim, I am new to Arohanui and are visiting the centre on Wednesdays and Thursday's to get to know my new friends and see what the centre it all about. I am a warm and happy and have been charming everyone with my dazzling smile. Today my sister Gabby came with me and we worked on my Title page for personal books. I did some colouring in and then made the picture into the letters of my name it looks awesome. I really loved introducing everyone to Gabby.
